As part of our SSDB learning journey in conjunction with Singapore’s 61st National Day, our K1 children visited the Singapore Navy Museum to learn more about the important role of the Republic of Singapore Navy (RSN).

During the visit, the children explored the different ships, equipment and tools used by the Navy. They learnt how the Navy protects Singapore’s waters and helps to keep our island safe. Through the museum exhibits and learning experiences, the children gained a better understanding of the roles and responsibilities of our naval personnel.

The children also learnt about the importance of teamwork, discipline, courage and dedication in keeping Singapore safe.

The learning journey provided the children with an opportunity to recognise and appreciate the men and women who serve in the Navy. They learnt that keeping Singapore safe is a collective effort and that our naval personnel work hard to protect our waters and safeguard our shores.

Through this experience, the children developed a greater appreciation for our everyday heroes and the important contributions they make to Singapore. The visit also encouraged the children to express their gratitude and show appreciation for the Navy’s service and dedication to keeping Singapore a safe home for everyone.
