Launching Our Project
Our project began with a special performance about kindness. Families joined us as the children shared an important message—that kindness begins with each of us. Through music, the children expressed care, compassion and love, inspiring everyone to spread kindness in everyday life. Music became a meaningful way for our children to express kindness and connect with others. During the launch, the children performed "Count on Me" by Bruno Mars and "Try Everything" by Shakira. "Count on Me" conveys the importance of being a dependable friend who offers care, support and encouragement to others. "Try Everything" encourages perseverance, courage and a willingness to embrace new experiences.
Kindness Begin At Home
Children carried the message beyond the classroom by showing kindness to their grandparents at home. These simple acts strengthened family bonds while nurturing empathy and gratitude.
Singapore Kindness Movement Activity
The Singapore Kindness Movement visited our centre with an engaging Singa puppet show, where children learnt that everyone can make a difference through simple acts of kindness, respect and consideration. The interactive session reinforced the values introduced in our project and encouraged the children to practise kindness in their daily lives.
The children wrote letters to Singa, sharing the kind deeds they had done. They carefully placed their letters into the Kindness mailbox. We then placed all the completed letters in an envelope and posted them to Singa.
Visiting St Luke's Eldercare
The children visited St Luke's Eldercare to meet the elderly, creating meaningful opportunities to build intergenerational friendships. Children and the elderly coloured butterflies together before combining them into a collaborative artwork. As they chatted and encouraged one another, meaningful connections blossomed through creativity. Every butterfly represented a simple act of kindness. Together, they formed a beautiful reminder that when little hands come together, they can make a big difference in someone's heart.
