Little Hands, Big Hearts for our Elderly - Caring is Everywhere

A simple act of caring creates an endless ripples

As part of a build on to understand their roles as little ambassadors to, children further explore what they can do to bring care and love to the people at the elder care. Often, children are unsure what they can do to help the elders as they might feel that they do not have the capability to do so.

Hence, On 2 June 2017, Teacher Vivian read a story about an act of kindness, care and empathy using the resources from Singapore Kindess Movement. Through the stories, she shares a variety of methods which children can uptake on to show care for the elderly.

Next, children represent their ideas and thoughts by drawing and writing on the pledge cards. Through this activity, children are more aware of the things they can do to show care and love to the elderly.

Children also have a show and tell session to share their ideas with their classmates.
