The children began by listening to the story Ash and the Supermons, which introduced them to the importance of protecting our Earth. Through the story and classroom discussions, they learnt about the 3Rs – Reduce, Reuse and Recycle, and explored simple ways they can practice these habits in their daily lives. To extend their learning beyond the classroom, the children completed a simple take-home activity with their families, giving them an opportunity to apply and share what they had learnt in school. Putting their learning into action, our K1 and K2 children ventured into the neighbourhood for a litter-picking activity. Working together, they helped to keep the community clean while experiencing first-hand how small actions can make a positive difference. Through this project, we hope to nurture environmentally responsible habits in our children and inspire them to understand that every small action counts towards creating a cleaner and greener Singapore! 🌏💚
