K1 - litter picking

On 20th May 2022, K1 children pick up litters in our school neighborhood. This is to develop children’s responsibility to the environment and understand things that can be recycled. Before we went for a walk, we prepared ourselves with tongs, gloves, and bags to discard litters. We walked along the way to our favourite place - Playground!!

K1 children were delighted to pick up the litters that they could see. They took turn to use gloves or tongs to pick up the litters. This not only allow them to develop their fine motor skills, but also to differentiate whether the particular litter to be recycled or not recycled.

Together with the children, Sunflower Preschool @ Ang Mo Kio pledges to go green and make our Earth a beautiful place to live in.
