The children were thrilled to use Recyclables items to create something new that they could use or display. They all managed to complete their crafts progressively. They learned that some tasks could not be completed in a day. Their tasks had many parts and that “Work in Progress” gave them much satisfaction.
With recyclables items such as plastic bottles, plastic bottle caps, metal cans, juice cartons, papers from old magazines and even real twigs/branches from trees, they could create lovely and useful items - Mobile Bottle Caps, Stationeries Can Holder and Cute Coin Purse.
They should be proud of themselves!
As an extension to 3R, Reduce, Reuse, Recycle, they were also introduced to 3 more!
They are now aware of the 6R - Rethink, Refuse, Reduce, Reuse, Repair and Recycle.
