Our children are exploring in-situ composting—a smart way to recycle food waste right where our plants grow! By placing apple cores, fruit peels, and vegetable scraps into perforated plastic bottles buried directly in our planter pots, the food scraps decompose right inside the soil. This slow-release process delivers essential organic nutrients straight to our plants' roots, teaching our young learners how reusing kitchen scraps creates a zero-waste garden.
