Now that the children know that the materials can have a different purpose, they make use of the recyclables provided for them to turn into craftwork!
Some even turn empty water bottles into a mini aquarium housing a (plastic) jellyfish!
Others turn a huge cardboard box into a game that can be played among their peers as they let a mini puff ball roll through their painted tunnels in the box!
