As part of Start Small Dream Big (SSDB) 2026, our children embarked on a meaningful journey to learn about kindness, caring and giving back to the community. Through our project, “Generations of Joy: Little Hands, Big Hearts,” children, families and teachers came together to bring joy to the seniors at SASCO Senior Citizens’ Home. From preparing thoughtful cards and packing donations to sharing performances and creating crafts together, every little act became an opportunity for our children to make a difference.

Families Giving Together Parents and children supported our donation drive by generously contributing items for the seniors. The children were excited to see how their families could come together to care for others.

Little Hands, Big Hearts In class, the children created special message cards for the seniors. They also helped to sort and pack the donated items, learning about teamwork, responsibility and the joy of giving.

A Special Day at SASCO On the day of our visit, our children, teachers and parent volunteers arrived with the donations and handmade cards, ready to share some joy with the seniors.

Sharing Joy Through Fun and Performance The visit began with a fun Pass the Parcel icebreaker, where the seniors and children had the opportunity to introduce themselves and get to know one another. The laughter and sharing helped everyone feel comfortable and connected. This was followed by performances by our N2, K1 and K2 children, who were excited to share their performances and bring smiles to the seniors. 🎶😊

Creating Memories Together The children, seniors and parent volunteers came together to make beautiful flower crafts. It was a wonderful opportunity to connect, create and enjoy time together.

Together, We Make a Difference ❤️ The donated items were presented to SASCO Senior Citizens’ Home, and the day ended with everyone coming together for a special group photograph. Through this experience, our children discovered that kindness could begin with something small — a card, a gift, a smile or simply spending time with someone. Our little hands may be small, but together they can create big hearts and make a meaningful difference.
