Our K1 and K2 preschoolers are turning food waste into natural plant food with our classroom "Worm Hotel"! By feeding leftover vegetable scraps and banana peels to our earthworms, the children see how food scraps can be recycled instead of thrown away.

Our young eco-warriors collect the nutrient-rich liquid fertilizer—known as leachate (or "worm tea")—to nourish our garden plants, vegetables, and flowers. This hands-on vermicomposting activity teaches our K1 and K2 learners how simple actions reduce waste and care for our Earth.
