Phase 1: Exploration (Week 2)

Activity: Plants Can’t Sit Still

Focus: Plants We Can See

Teacher Philiz introduced the book - Plants Can’t Sit Still by Mia Posada. This book, read to the children is a playful exploration of an often-overlooked characteristic of plants…..their movement. Plants don’t have feet or fins or wings, yet they can move in many ways. Blossoms grow toward the sun, seeds fly in the window etc. This book was discussed to build on the childrens prior knowledge to the topic of β€œPlants”.
