Easter Celebration Story

On 28th March 2024, Appleland Montessori Child Care Centre had an annual Easter Celebration.

Despite the celebration being suited for a particular religion, children of other races and religions got to experience and learn more about how Easter Day came about and why is the day celebrated among others.

The centre had also put up some Easter decorations such as banners, posters and decorative eggs around for children to observe and feel the festivities.

Furthermore, children came to school dressed up in fun party clothes to commemorate the day. Some wore dresses, matching outfits or even dressed up as a bunny!

Children started the celebration by gathering together to watch informational Easter short stories presented by Teacher Danna and participated in a series of question and answer where they got a chance to win rewards. Through this, children got to practice their listening and visual skills to carefully pay attention to the answers and earn themselves interesting rewards.

Following that, children head back to their respective classes for more fun Easter games conducted by the class teachers. In the Toddler class, children played an egg toss game into their Easter basket and also, collaborative colouring on a picture of an Easter egg.

In the N1 class, children danced to Easter music and did collaborative coloring too!

As for the N2 children, they took part in 2 different games conducted by their teachers. They played Bowling on Bunny pins and Easter Egg hunt! Look at the excitement on their faces!

Subsequently in the K1 and K2 class, they celebrated Easter as a whole and had fun participating in a series of games. Games such as Hot Easter Eggs and, Dance and Freeze. Children took this opportunity to bond with other children of different ages and compete against one another in hopes of winning exciting prizes.

After they took some class photos and collect goodies from friends and teachers. Children gathered together and begin playing the games. Everyone had so much fun passing the eggs in a circle and pretending to be bunnies as they hop around the class during the dance and freeze game.

All in all, the Easter Day Celebration was filled with laughters, and happy memories created by the children as well as the teachers of Appleland Montessori.
