As part of our ongoing collaboration with SNM Carelight Senior Care Centre, the children participated in meaningful Earth Rangers project activities that promoted care for the Earth and the community. Through the use of recycled materials, the children learnt how everyday items could be reused creatively while reducing waste. They also learnt to extend care and kindness towards the elderly.

The children prepared art and craft pieces using recycled materials to share with the seniors, providing opportunities to express their creativity while building meaningful connections. They also participated in an Intergenerational Sports Day, engaging in simple table games with the elderly and learning to take turns, communicate and encourage one another.

During their visit to SNM Carelight Senior Care Centre, the children further promoted the Earth Rangers project through a song and dance performance, followed by a collaborative art and craft activity with the seniors using recycled materials.

Through these experiences, the children developed empathy, respect and appreciation for the elderly, while understanding that caring for the Earth and caring for the community can go hand in hand through simple actions such as reusing, sharing, creating and learning together.
