Connecting hearts across generations

The children had the wonderful opportunity to collaborate with the elderly from Santunan Emas, a weekly programme held at the mosque. This collaboration allowed the children to connect with the elderly through meaningful interactions, kindness, and shared experiences.

To express their appreciation, the children prepared a special gift for the elderly, a door hanger, lovingly decorated by the children. Each door hanger included a handwritten message of gratitude and well-wishes. The children decorated the door hangers creatively with drawings and thoughtful words. When presenting the gifts, the children took turns handing them to the elderly, who received them with joy and appreciation.

This collaboration provided the children with a deeper understanding of empathy, respect, and the importance of caring for the elderly. It also gave them a chance to communicate confidently and build meaningful intergenerational relationships.

Through simple acts of kindness, the children learned that even small gestures can make a big difference. It was a memorable and heart-warming experience for both the children and the elderly, showcasing how love and kindness can connect people across generations.
