Clean Up and Green Up Litter Picking Exercise cum Fathers' Day Celebration

As part of the Fathers’ Day programme, children with their fathers participated in an activity organised by Blangah Court Residents’ Committee entitled ‘Clean Up and Green Up Litter Picking Exercise’ which is part of the ‘Keep Singapore Clean! 2018’.
Armed with tongs, gloves and rubbish bags, the participants went around the neighbourhood open spaces such as the gardens, walkways and void decks of Blocks 44 - 49 to pick up litter.
Through this community service activity, the children showed their care for the environment. They also learnt about the importance of keeping the surroundings clean.
The activity ended with a simple celebration of cutting a cake and singing a song especially dedicated to the fathers.
