🌍♻️ Caring for the Environment Through Recycling

🌍 Earth Day 2026

In line with Go Green SG, teachers guided the children in discussions about caring for our environment and simple ways they can make a difference. 🌱

The children celebrated Earth Day by bringing their own containers for tea break and a small napkin or towel to keep in their pockets to wipe their hands after using the toilet. They also created Save the Earth posters with simple messages about caring for our planet. The children proudly shared their work and explained how small actions, such as recycling and saving water, can make a big difference. ♻️

Alternatively, children could bring a decorated recyclable container or bottle to be used for a simple planting activity in school. 🌱

🌱 Getting Ready for Eco Family Fiesta 2026

The children made a natural cleaning solution using orange peels, learning about eco-friendly practices and how food waste can be reused. 🌿 A big shout-out to iJooz for generously sponsoring us with orange peels! We are grateful for this wonderful collaboration with our school, and their support has added a refreshing zest to our eco-friendly activities. 🍊

The children also used recycled paper to create bowls and plates, giving used materials a new purpose while encouraging creativity and sustainability. ♻️ They created photo frames, coin banks, table lamps, photo stands, and recycling bins using cardboard and other recycled materials. Through these activities, the children learned how everyday materials can be reused and transformed into useful and meaningful creations while developing their creativity and environmental awareness. 🌍

🌱 Eco Family Fiesta 2026

This special event was designed to strengthen family bonds while showcasing the meaningful learning journey our children have been engaged in. It also brought together our school community and invited guests to celebrate the children’s learning through interactive, hands-on experiences filled with creativity, fun, and collaboration. 🌍

The children and families participated in an exciting line-up of activities, including a mass dance to kick-start the celebration, parent-child interactive games using recycled materials, and art booths designed to encourage bonding, creativity, and shared fun. ♻️ The event also featured an SGA/SSDB showcase, recycling awareness activities, and a charity bidding segment featuring meaningful contributions for a good cause. 💚
