Hi everyone! In the month of July, our children learn ways to take good care of the pets and show empathy & love towards animals.

Our teacher discussed about the types of animals that are suitable to keep as pets. We had some sharing session with the children who brought along a terrapin & a dog into the centre!

Teacher Rajes explained to children that we could keep dogs as a pet as they are friendly. A parent, Mdm Jane was invited to talk about her pet toy poodle, Ziggy.

Mdm Jane shared with us that Ziggy is a special poodle. She is blind since she was 2years old and relies on her sense of smell & hearing to adapt to her environment. Our children learned that it requires lots of patience and love to care for a handicap pet.

Our students also shared their experiences in taking care of their very own pet dog and rabbit through their photos and videos.

As part of understanding ways of treating the pets with good care, the K1 and K2 visited the neighbourhood’s pet grooming services.

Our children learned a lot about caring and meeting the needs of the pets. This includes feeding the pet with the right food & treats, bringing them for grooming services and playing with them.

The children got up close as they watched the groomers in action from the viewing panel.

The pet groomer, Mr Law also explained to us about the products that he offers for the pets which includes pets’ shampoo, treats & accessories.

The children truly enjoyed their experience at the pet grooming place!

For the post-activity, the K2 did the reflection activity sheet on how they can take good care of their pet. Whereas for the K1, the children were involved in making appreciation cards to give to Mr Law.
