3R’s: The Key to a Clean and Safe Environment

Our Start Small Dream Big Project for this year is entitled ‘3R’s The Key to a Clean and Safe Environment’. Through this project, the children have a better understanding of waste management, meaning and importance of 3R’s (Reducing, Reusing and Recycling), and different ways on how they can help to keep the environment clean and pleasant for everyone. The children also had a discussion on what they can do as a group to raise awareness about 3R’s. One of the activities that they came up with, was to create some posters that would convey their thoughts and ideas to keep the environment clean.

After making posters, the children proudly showed their masterpiece and talked about the meaning of their drawings.

After poster making, the children were also engaged in creating recycling bins using different materials like cardboard boxes, tissue rolls, plastic bottles, bottle caps, empty tape rolls, and others. They worked in groups to create, design, and add more details to their recycling bins.

After a few days, the children completed their Moster Recycling Bins!
